WEDDING
REID—MACK
At the Basilica on Saturday afternoon, the wedding was solemnised of Claire, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Mack, of Clifton Terrace, and Lieutenant William Hanson Reid, N.Z.M.C., eldest son of Mr. John Brownlee Reid, Wellington, and the late Mrs. Reid.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful trained gown of richly-brocaded ivory satin and a lovely and very old Brussels lace veil which was lent by Mrs. A. Cornelius. Her bouquet was a sheaf of waterlilies in palest pink toning matching the one in her hair. The bride was preceded up the aisle by three bridesmaids, Misses Cecile and Kathryn Mack (her sisters) and Miss Joan Swan. They wore slipper satin in a lovely shade of turquoise and carried sheafs of gladioli in orchid tints. Their head-dresses were of turquoise ostrich feathers.
Dr. Reid was attended by Dr. Barry Irvine as best man, and by Dr. John Adams and Flying Officer Jack Lloyd as groomsmen. The ushers were Dr. Evan Raine and Dr. Malcolm Watt.
Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Reid will reside for the present at a South Island Air Force station.
