LONDON, February 23,
Commenting on the Japanese landing on Timor and Dr. Salazar's speech of protest, the Lisbon newspaper "Jornal Do Comercio" says: "Dr. Salazar, in paying homage to the good faith and good will shown by the British Government in the matter .of Timor, has d.awn even closer the friendship between Portugal and Britain. Animated by the noble example furnished by Britain, we can be calmly confident that the new incident will be solved in a just and peaceful fashion."
