MAN CHARGED WITH THEFT
OF LAUNCH

HOBART, Feb. 24
When Richard Humphreys was charged in the Hobart Police Court on Monday with the theft of a 27-foot auxiliary launch from Invercargill, it was revealed that he had landed on the east coast of Tasmania after a voyage of 23 days across the Tasman. Humphreys, who was alone, relied on his sail for 21 days. He was remanded.
