TACTICS OF ENEMY
BLOWS AT AIRFIELDS
RUGBY, February 20.
The Batavia communique says: "It seems as if the Japanese are trying to inflict losses on our air force by bombing our aerodromes. The results they are obtaining, however, are in inverse proportion to their efforts. "An aerodrome near Butenzorg has been attacked. An attack on an. aerodrome near Dandoeng caused some damage. "A great number of enemy planes were observed in the vicinity of Surabaya, but they did not start an attack. "Some aerodromes in Oosthoek, on the east side of Java, were machinegunned during a short 'period. "In connection with the enemy action directed against Bali, vital points. on Bali have been destroyed. Naturally, strong action is being taken against the landings which the enemy is carrying out."—B.O.W.
