WATERSPOUT NEAR ROTORUA

AUCKLAND, This Day,
The unusual phenomenon of a waterspout was witnessed on Lake Rotorua at about 7 o'clock last evening. Several witnesses declared that it rose to a height of several hundred feet. It was between the Hamurana shore and Ohau Channel, and continued for about haif an hour. Shortly afterwards particularly heavy; rain fell.
