TWO MONTHS' GAOL

MILITARY DEFAULTERS

Three men who had failed, to report for military service were sentenced to two months' imprisonment ■with hard labour by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. They were Wilfred Franks, Thomas Murray Barrett, and Rex Verdun Boyes.

"Whether I plead guilty or not guilty, it is your intention to sentence me to a tern* of imprisonment," said Franks •when be was asked to plead.
