The German publication "SudOst Echo," mouthpiece of the Wilhelmstrasse, reflects increasing German pressure against Turkey when it says: "Turkey either must join Germany or take the consequences." '■■' .■■■~-*-: > •- ■-■-•■- -<■--■
The Foreign Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, in a speech at the; "Turkish People's House," referred to the close and increasing friendship between Turkey and Britain, and said: "Our cause is Turkey's. We know that the Turks, if' attacked, would defend themselves with resolution worthy of their history."
