(Rec. 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 19,
Tokio radio announced that Lieuten-ant-General M. Tanabe had been appointed vice-chief of the Army General Staff, succeeding General Tsukada, who is now chief of the staff of the Expeditionary Forces in Southern Asia.
