The big dredges' returns for the flret half of February were: Barrytown, 5290z for 180 hours from 71,000 yards; Kanierl, 1730z for 236 hours from 214,000 yards; Arahura, 7400z for | 255 hours from 118,000 yards. Associated Gold Dredges return for the week ended February 13 was 89oz for 32,000 yards. M.K. MANUFACTURERS' PROFIT HIGHER. (P.A.) AUCKLAND, February 18. M.K. Manufacturers, Ltd., show a profit of £ 16,68s for the year ended December 31, against £13,603 in 1940. The dividend if maintained at 6 per cent. The taxation reserve is £13,000, against £9600 in the previous year. LOAN COMPANY'S YEAR. The Permanent Investment and Loan Association of Canterbury reports for the year ended December. 31 a profit, after taking into Account all interest due and accrued, amounting to £5455 11s lOd, which, together with the - balance brought forward from last year amounting to . £736 6s lid, leaves £6191 18s 9d in the profit and loss account. An interim dividend of 2 percent, was paid on July 31, and a final dividend of 3 per cent, on January 31. making a- total distribution for the year of 5 per cent., which absorbed £5000. A transfer of £500 was made to reserve fund, leaving £691 18s 9d to be carried forward in profit and loss account.
