HONEY PRICES
STABILISED PRODUCT
Apiarists who sell honey at higher rates than those prescribed for last season will run the risk of proceedings being taken against them, according to an announcement' made today by the Price Tribunal. The Tribunal stated that it had been advised that the expected crop of this season's honey was rather smaller than usual. Honey was included in the list of commodities stabilised in price as at September 1, 1941, and in this connection the Tribunal had learned with some apprehension that some apiarists were endeavouring to effect sales of honey at. prices higher than those which operated during the preceding season.
Needless to say, the Tribunal commented, any sales effected at rates higher than those for last season would constitute a breach of the Price Regulations, and leave the parties concerned subject to legal action in terms of the regulations.
