COST PLUS CHARGES
Where purchasers of equipment from the Corporation Depot cannot themselves take delivery distribution will be made by arrangement by the Wellington carriers. All sales at the depot must be for cash, and all prices are fixed, at cost, plus a percentage for handling and clerical1 work, makingup (as in assembling pumps and hose?, and transport. The following are typical prices: Assembled hose (50ft, unions, nozzle), £2 2s 6d (with universal connector £2 8s); bucket pump (complete with hose and nozzle), £5 19s 6d and £6 Is 6d; full sand sets, 10s. Transport charges are, of course, added. The prices are set out in detail for each item to meet requirements; for instance, where only the hose without couplings, etc., is required. These itemised prices are cott to the City Council, plus 5 per cent, for handling, storage, etc.
