AN ACQUITTAL
Thomas Henry Napier, a wharf labourer, aged 29, has been acquitted by a jury in the Supreme Court on alternative charges of stealing and receiving twenty-one rolls of rubber belonging to Retreads, Ltd., between June 23 and September 6, 1941. He was discharged by Mr. Justice Johnston.
Mr. C. H. Weston, K.C., with him Mr. W. R. Birks, appeared for the Crown, and Mr. H. Mitchell for the prisoner.
