BRITISH PROTECTION
DOMINIONS' ECONOMIC
INTERESTS
(Rec. 1 p.m.)
LONDON, Jan. 8.
Mr. Arthur Greenwood, Minister without portfolio, said in an interview that he. and.Lord Woolton, Minister of Food, were at present in the midst of an important deal in regard to the purchase of Dominion raw materials and foodstuffs. Britain was doing all she could to protect the economic ir*terests of the Dominions so that they would be able to face the future after the war with far greater confidence than otherwise would be possible. This applied particularly to New Zealand and Australia, which were the two Dominions hardest hit by shipping difficulties. ' ■■> -;
