AUSTRALIAN LOAN
• Arising out of the announcement that new subscriptions to the Australian Conversion and War Loan of £ 100,000,----000 at 3a per cent, exceeded the £30,000.000 required for war purposes, it is understood that the A.M.P. Society increased its cash subscription by £500.000. making a total of £3,000.000. The society also converted £3,557,430 of its present Australian holdings in Commonwealth loans, making its total contribution up to £6,557,430.
