Dorothy Downing, a pianist well known to Wellington audiences through her concert performances and broadcasts, is to give an interesting ■ recital of piano music in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Thursday, November 6. Miss Downing,, who is the holder of an- Associated Board scholarship tenable at the Royal Academy of Music in London after the. war, and was, this year awarded the Robert Parker Memorial Prize by the New. Zealand Music Teachers' Registration Board, is at present. studying with the ■ Dutch
