LONDON, October 31

The Germans' hostage system in Europe has spread to Greece. It is announced in Athens that after the assassination of two German soldiers 13 Greek prisoners were hanged.

In occupied France General Stulpnagel has found French informers who are willing to accept the Nazi bribe of a reward and an indemnity for any imprisoned relatives if information is given concerning the killing of the German officers.

Paris radio announces that evidence has been given and that two persons related to the informers will be released within 48 hours.

This announcement came just four hours before the time fixed by General de Gaulle for the five-minutes standstill in France as a protest against the German butcheries.

The Free French in Britain on November 2 will attend services commemorating the execution of the hostages, and the Dean of St. Paul's has suggested that the churches throughout Britain should join in the commemoration.
