NAZI LORDSHIP IN POLAND

LONDON, October 31,

Moscow radio says that 3,500,000 persons have been executed and 2,000,000 imprisoned, and 60,000 have committed suicide, in the countries occupied by the Germans, and that 2,000,000 others have fled.

The Deputy Polish Prime Minister, M. Mikolajczyk, said that 82,000 Poles including women and young people, have been shot or hanged since the Germans occupied Poland. All Poles whom the Germans thought might possibly become leaders have been executed. A million Polish workmen have been sent to Germany

"The German in Poland is lord, and the Pole is only his serf. Those declining to accept this ruling,will have to put up 'with the consequences." According to Polish circles in London, this statement was made by Gauleiter Greiser when addressing Nazi Party leaders at Poznan.

The occasion was the second anniversary of the so-called "Wartheland," constituted by Germany-from the western provinces of Poland. Herr Greiser continued: "Any Pole who dares to raise a hand against a German will immediately be destroyed." The principles of German national policy, he said, were based on the separation of the various national groups and the bringing back of every drop of German blood "robbed from the Eeich."

Such principles illustrated the whole of the German policy in Eastern Europe. Jewish labour in the Wartheland would be used for building motor roads.

Herr Greiser added that 3,000,000 hectares of land in Poland (over 7,000,000 acres) had been allotted to 50,000 German families.
