DENIED BY GERMANS
SOVIET RAID ON BERLIN
RUSSIAN DESCRIBES
BOMBING
LONDON, October 31,
The Germans have denied that there was any raid by Russian aircraft on Berlin last Wednesday night, but the Russian army newspaper publishes an account of the attack by a correspondent who flew in a bomber.
He said that flying conditions were difficult, but the targets in Berlin were found and duly bombed before the German anti-aircraft defences knew a raid was coming from the east. They then opened a haphazard kind of fire, but not one raiding bomber was scratched. •
