OBITUARY
MR. FORBES SMITH
The bowling world recently. lost a well-known identity through the death of Mr. Forbes Smith, a member of the Wellington Bowling Club, at the age of 63. Mr. Forbes Smith, who was born in Scotland, was, until his retirement, engaged in business dealing with electrical equipment." On the bowling green his pleasant manner and honesty of character gained him many friends throughout the clubs in the district. A sound lead, he played for Mr. J. H. Newson in the last Dominion tournament at Christchurch, passing through to post-section play. He leaves a widow, a daughter, and two sons.
