AGAIN A PRISONER
SLIPPERY GERMAN AIR ACE
LONDON, October 29.
The British United Press learns from Berlin that the British have again shot down and taken prisoner Baron yon Werra, one of Germany's foremost air aces.
Baron yon Werra was shot down near London in September, 1940. Twice he escaped from British war prisoners' camps before being transferred to Canada, where he escaped from a prison camp, and reached the United States. There he was arrested for illegal entry and released on a £2500 bond; He absconded and left the United States on a faked Swiss passport, and eventually reached Germany.
