ROTTERDAM WARNED
BOMBING EXPECTED
NAZIS EXPAND USE OF PORT
LONDON, October 10.
A spokesman of the Netherlands •Government last night broadcast a warning to the people of Rotterdam. He told them to move away from the harbour and marshalling yards of the city, and explained that, owing to the R.A.F. bombing of Hamburg and Bremen, the Germans were transferring shipping to Rotterdam and making it an important transport centre. The Allies would damage or destroy the German war machine wherever it could' be found, and as the bomber had not the. precision of artillery it was inevitable that some bombs should fall outside the target area.
