WELLINGTON EAST
NATIONAL CANDIDATE
I The official National Party candidate for the Wellington East seat at the General Election will be Mr. L. T. Jacobsen, a Wellington business man. The sitting member is the Minister of National Service (Mr. Semple).
Mr. Jacobsen was born in Hawke's Bay of pioneer parents and farmed in southern Hawke's Bay for some years before.taking up a commercial career. For the past 12 years he has been in business in Wellington as a manufacturers' representative. He is a married man aged 48, with three sons and three daughters. All the sons are serving with the Forces. Mr. Jacobsen has been actively associated with religious and social work in the city for some time.
