RESERVES IN HOUSING
AREAS
Mr. J. W. Andrews, Mayor of Lower Hutt, reported to his council last evening that the reserves committee had held a very successful conference with the Housing Department, and it had been arranged that in future the Superintendent of Reserves should indicate beforehand the play areas and reserves which the council required in each area being opened up by the Department. The Department had promised that it would be sympathetic-to .the council's wishes,
