AIR TRAINING CORPS
AUCKLAND ENROLMENTS
(P.A.)
AUCKLAND, September 7,
Complete satisfaction with the result of a week's recruiting for youths of between 16J and 18 for the Air Training Corps was expressed when the campaign closed on Saturday. In all about 300 applications for enrolment were made and this is considered by the Air Force authorities to be an excellent beginning for the recruiting campaigns to be held throughout New Zealand.
With 500 members already enrolled in the Auckland squadron, the campaign will ensure that Auckland units are particularly strong. Those who enrolled during che week will be advised shortly to appear before a selection board and, after medical examination, will begin courses which are to start as soon as possible.
