ORPHANS' CLUB
SECOND LADIES' NIGHT
The second ladies' night of the Wellington Orphans' Club 1941 season was held at the Masonic Hall on Saturday evening. Chief Orphan W. J. Mountjoy, sen., was chairman and the first part of the evening tbok the form .of entertainment, when items were presented by the club orchestra, conducted by Mr. Harold Godier, Messrs. Chas. Williams and R. Dellow (vocal duets), Mr. J. Opie (solo), Mr. Norman Aitken (impersonation of the man of the moment, Mr. Winston Churchill), and Messrs. Harvie and Tilly (comedy). The newly-formed Orphans Quintet, led by Orphan B. L. H. de Rose, also presented three items,
Supper was provided and, dancing commenced at 10 p.m. and was continued until' midnight.
