MUSIC TEACHERS' SOCIETY
At a recent social meeting of the Wellington branch of the. New Zealand Society of Registered Music Teachers, the speaker was Mr. Wesley Roberts, visiting examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (London). Mr. Roberts related some of his experiences when examining recently .in Canada and the West Indies, and then . dealt with /a number of musical problems arising from the examinations. ' ' . ' " A musical programme of exceptional interest was contributed by Miss Myra Sawyer and Mr. Roy Hill, who sang songs' by "modern" composers, and Madame Betts-Vincent and Mrs. , Leslie, who played the first two movements of the Sonata for Violin and ; Pianoforte by Cesar *Franck. Miss Sawyer/s songs were accompanied by Mr.' H. Temple White', who also presided over the meeting.
