EX-NAVAL MEN

The annual meeting of the Ex-Royal Naval Hen's Association of New Zealand was held- in the club rooms, Manners Street. All present observed one minute's silence.as a mark of respect to shipmates who had died since the previous meeting. The balancesheet, which showed a very considerable increase over the previous year's figures, was adopted.

The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. A. McLeod, D.S.C.; vicepresidents, Messrs. R. Mottram and Max Wall; treasurer, Mr. J. Hutching; secretary, Mr. H. W. Hayward; committee, Messrs. J. Froome, B. Anglis, C. Lark, C. Casey, R. Robson, J. v Vaughan, G. Morris, and G. Palmer. During the evening Eng. Lieut.Commander Earnshaw, R.N. (ret), vice-patron, gave an address. The incoming committee appeals to ftll ex-Royal Navy and Merchant Navy men who have served their country to become members. :
