In a broadcast appeal tonight on the Lord Mayor's national air raid distress fund, the Lord Mayor of London stated that since the fund was started last September well over 100,000 families had received help and more than £1,500,000 had been spent on grants of cash in providing for food, clothing, furniture removal expenses, and many other purposes. Tomorrow a nation-wide flag day on behalf of the fund will be held.—B.O.W.
