TRADING PERMITTED
♦ FORMER ITALIAN EAST AFRICA Now that the whole of the territories formerly known as Italian East Africa are areas in the occupation of his Majesty, the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr. Sullivan) has stated. that persons, firms, and companies, so far as... the Enemy Trading Emergency Regulations, 1939, were concerned, could trade with any body of persons (whether corporate or unincorporate) carrying on business in these territories. It was to be clearly understood, continued Mr. Sullivan, that this announcement related purely to .matters concerning enemy trading, and persons must of course comply with any other regulations in force either in New Zealand or the territories concerned.
