MAN FOUND DROWNED
The body of John Shanley, aged 46, a widower, was found on the beach at Evans Bay on Saturday, and an inquest was opened by the Coroner (Mr. W. G. L. Mellish) for purposes oi! identification and then adjourned sine die. Shanley. who was a donkeyinan on the Port Waikato. was apparently drowned while making his way to the ship, which was on the Patent Slip at the time. He had signed on at Lyttelton. . .
