EXCELLENT HEALTH RECORD
RUGBY, August 14.' Though the Axis forces in Libya are suffering from an abnormally high incidence of dysentery, the health of the British and Imperial troops in the Middle East is excellent. The casualty figures for the first six months of this year show that there has been no more illness than in peace time. During May, which is one of the worst months for dysentery, the incidence of this disease was only onetenth of the average incidence for Egypt during the last war. Malaria was negligible and there have been no cases of typhus. Over the whole Middle East there have been, on the average, less than eight cases a month of the enteric group, which includes typhoid and paratyphoid. This satisfactory state of affairs can be attributed to a great improvement in hygiene and the extra interest taken by all ranks in looking i after their health.—B.O.W. i
