TERRORISM IN SERBIA
NAZI RUTHLESSNESS
WHOLESALE SLAUGHTER
LONDON, August 15. Americans who have been evacuated from Yugoslavia and have arrived in Palestine report a new wave of terrorism against the Serbs. They reveal ruthless shootings and destruction of Serbian property. More than 7000 Serbs, they state, were killed in one centre, while on the first day after Yugoslavia's capitulation the Germans shot. 1500. Serbian villages north of Belgrade were sacked and set on fire and the entire populations were killed. Members of the Hungarian minority and also Hungarian troops were participating. The Yugoslav guards whom the Germans used in Serbia have been disarmed because the Germans suspect them of assisting the Serbs. The German news agency says that reports from Zagreb mention wholesale shootings in Bosnia (Croatia) as a result of a "mutiny" at a concentration camp. It is added that two persons were shot at Sarajevo for distri- i buting leaflets. I
