Winter Raids on Reich
(Rec. 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 15. A grim warning of winter horrors for the Germans was given by the Moscow radio in a special message to the Nazis which stated: "This winter you Germans will have British and Soviet bombers over all German cities. You will suffer starvation, and disease will spread among you. All of your large army in Russia will be dying in snowstorms. For all that, you will have to thank your Fuhrer. Heil Hitler!" m m mm m m , , . «»»»»» ■ ■ -»»»»»-»--i--r-t of the operations a reconnaissance of Syracuse harbour showed that a merchant vessel which was attacked by Swordfish aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm on the night of August 10-11 had been sunk. "Attacks have, been made on Wolchefit and Gond'ar in ' Abyssinia. At Wolchefit enemy' trenches and buildings were bombed on August 14. On the previous day, at Gondar, two direct hits were made on buildings near milii tary headquarters and three on the remaining depot, starting a. number of ares.
