A special illustrated prophetic address on the subject "Armageddon— Past? Present? or Future?" will be given by Mr. V. R. Brown in the New Covenant Hall, 55 Vivian Street (formerly the Vivian Street Baptist Church) tomorrow, at 7 p.m.
PARAMOUNT THEATRE. A tasty tonic for the times is provided in "Under Your Hat," which is the main feature at the Paramount Theatre. It has been specially designed to give full scope for the mirth-provok-ing talents of Jack Hulbert and Cicely Courtneidge, and both these popular (screen artists take full advantage of !the opportunity offered .them. The British actor Griffith Jones has been seen in a Jessie. Matthews production and one or two other parts of no particular importance, but in "Wife of General Ling," which is the second feature, he dominates the screen from beginning to end, and even a Russian gentleman named Irikijinoff, who plays a dual role of a suave Hong Kong merchant and a cut-throat and sinister Chinese war lord, pales into insignificance . beside the brilliant work of Jones.- There are topical supports.
