Mrs. J.*A. Hanan, Dunedin, has arrived at Wellington from the south for a brief visit and is staying at the Hotel Cecil.

Mrs. L. McCartney has returned to Wellington after a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Roderick Ferguson, Park Avenue, Auckland.

Lieutenant-Colonel G. Wilding and Mrs. Wilding returned to Wellington yesterday from a short visit to Auckland.

Mrs. H. S. Reid, Wellington, who has been the. guest of Mrs. Howden, Timaru, left yesterday for Dunedin.

Mrs. E. Wilson, Wellington, is visiting Auckland.

This morning the delegates attending the conference of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children visited the Women's Borstal Institution and the Child Welfare Home at Miramar.
