WASHINGTON, May 20. Declaring that equipment shipped under the Lease and Lend Act seemed to be reaching Britain satisfactorily, Senator Barkley, majority leader of the Senate, added that it was unlikely that the Government would take new steps to see the goods were delivered, but of course the situation could change compleely in a matter of days. The indications now were that the goods were getting across and that conditions were not acute. — U.P.A.
