SUPPLIES FOR EIRE
OFFER BY UNITED STATES
(Rec. noon.) WASHINGTON, May 21
• President Roosevelt has disclosed that the United States has offered to sell or charter two ships to Eire and to supply food to the value of 500.000 dollars. The ships could carry much more food, indicating that Eire intended to purchase supplies. Mr. Roosevelt said that nothing had been done about supplying military equipment to Eire.—U.P.A.
