R.S.A. CONFERENCE REMIT

A proposal to change the name of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association to the New Zealand Returned Services Association or the New Zealand Returned Soldiers', Sailors', Airmen's, and Nurses' Association will be discussed at the annual conference of the association in Wellington next week. It will be moved by the Dominion executive. The delegates from the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association will be given a free hand in the voting on this question, according to a decision of the executive last night, states the "Press." The secretary (Mr.» E. F. Wilcox), who drew attention to the remit, said there would probably be a great deal of discussion. Mr. H. W. Wilkinson and SergeantMajor A. L. Emerson moved that the delegates be given a free hand, but Mr. E Orchard insisted that the association should "stick to its old name."
