MARIST AND HOSPITAL
Marist were too strong in all departments for Hospital, whom they beat by 6 goals to 1. After the first 15 minutes the issue was never in doubt, for Marist played as a team whereas Hospital never settled down. Marist dominated the play, especially in the. second half, when they rattled on 4 goals.
Hospital pressed at the start, but good play by Leonard and Swain allowed Price to score., It was in this spell that Hospital forced six corners, but Marist had a good goalie in Mallea. Just before half-time Price scored again. In tho second spell Quirke made holes In Hospital's defence, allowing Leonard to score, and added two himself. From a corner Jeromson found the net for Hospital, mid just before the finish Leonard got his second goal.
