"ONE HUNDRED CROWDED YEARS."
Approximately 8000 children from primary and secondary schools in Wellington ctiy and suburbs have seen the Centennial film, "One Hundred Crowded Years" during the week, and at 6d a head their attendance had benefited the provincial patriotic funds to the extent of £200. Two copies of the film were given to the National Patriotic Fund Board by the Government for use in aid of the patriotic funds, and, with the co-operation of the Education Department, theatre managements, and employees, plans were drawn up for screenings throughout the Dominion. There are no. expenses of any kind, the gross result also being the net result. The film, together with a programme of first-release shorts, is to be screened at the King's and St. James Theatres tomorrow night.
