U.S. GENEROSITY
BRITISH WAR SUFFERERS
(British Official Wireless.)
RUGBY, February 13
Figures illustrating American generosity to British war sufferers have been given by the London representative of the British War Relief Society on his return from the United States.
The society, which was formed by the amalgamation of two American organisations, the Allied Relief and the British War Relief, has so far sent about 6,000,000 dollars in cash and kind. Contributions received 'during the last two months totalled about 2,000,000 dollars, a rate which the society hopes will continue. Committees of this organisation have been established in every State in the American nation. The greater part of the funds comes from small subscriptions.
