SUB-AREA UNITS
The following reports of Home Guard sub-area activities have been supplied:—
Makara. —The Makara sub-area Home Guard unit held its first parade on Thursday night. • Lieutenant Hildreth has undertaken the training. This unit can supply mounted men and pack animals, and would be of great assistance* in the mountainous country in their area.
