EASTERN SUBURBS RALLY
Members of the Home Guard in the eastern suburbs are to hold a rally tomorrow nigllt, and a parade followed by a musical programme and addresses in the Kilbirnie Kinema has been arranged. The Minister of National Security (Mr. Semple) and the Inspec-tor-General of the New Zealand Military Forces (Major-General Sir Andrew Russell) will be present.
. Home Guard units will parade at the corner of Kingsford Smith and Coutts Streets and, led by the Fort Dorset Band, will march up Seatoun ,Rpad to the Kinema. General Russell will take the salute at the Onepd Road junction. The parade will be commanded by Captain E. R. Wilson, M.C.
A musical programme, in which the band will take part, will be held in the theatre. before the delivery of addresses on the need for a strong Home Guard. '
