LAUNCH DESTROYED
A MYSTERIOUS EXPLOSION

AUCKLAND, This Day,
Following an explosion that was heard in the nearby suburbs, fire destroyed the 28ft fishing launch Kita at 3.25 this morning. The launch, which was anchored in the western viaduct basin, had not been in commission for some time.
No one was on board, and the cause of the explosion is a mystery.
