The Vichy correspondent of the British United Press states that the latest attempt at a rapprochement between M. Laval and Marshal Petain has not been entirely successful. Admiral Darlan consequently will soon return to Paris to keep the negotiations open, making an effort to bring IVE. Laval's ambitions within limits that ,are acceptable to Marshal Petain.
