A WARTIME CAKE
Here is a good wartime cake. Cream together three ounces each of sugar and butter. Beat in an egg. Mix to gether eight ounces of flour, three ounces of coconut, and a teaspoonful of baking powder. Work into the other ingredients, adding enough milk to make a fairly soft mixture. Put into a gi-eased tin and bake in a moderate oven for about an hour and a quarter
