The Egmont Racing Club's Summer Meeting opened at; Hawera today in fine weather. There is a large attendance, and the track is good. Results:— Ohawe Hurdles, £150; li miles—l-1 Kaiwaka, 11.5, 1; 7-7 Debretts, 9.0, 2; 2-4 War Lap, 9.10, 3. Scr.: Lady Jinj, Resingold. Half a length; three lengths. Time, 2min 46 2-ssec. Flying Handicap, £175; 6 furlongs. —4 Veldette, 7.10, 1; 1 Gold Dale, 9.0, 2; 3 Screen Star, 7.10, 3. Scr.: Colincamps, Cheval de Bataille, Air Flight. Length and a quarter; four lengths. Time, lmin 14 3-ssec.
