ENEMY IN NORTHERN FRANCE
NEW YORK, February 4
Reports from the correspondent of the "New York Times" at Vichy say that eye-witnesses from northern France to Vichy in the south agree that the Germans are engaged in intense military activity, apparently in preparation for an early attempt at an invasion of Britain. The correspondent adds that February weather is most favourable for currents in the English Channel.
