BOWLING COUNCIL
MR. S. M. STONE RETIRES
After serving for fourteen years on the council of the New Zealand Bowling Association, Mr. S. M. Stone (Seatoun- Bowling Club) has- retired from that body. Mr. Stone has. taken a prominentIpjfrt in bowling -management in the Wellington area f or many years. At the last meeting\of > the council in Christchurch, the president, Mr. L. B* Evans (Christchurch) said he had heard with regret that it was the last meeting of the council that Mr. Stone would attend. He referred to Jhe fine work that Mr. Stotie had done during his yiears of office. , - Other members .of; the Council also made reference to/the interest and enthusiasm shown by Mr. Stone in all' matters pertaining to bowling, and expressed the desire that he-would reconsider his decision and again offer hijnself.for re-election., ■ : Mr. Stone, in "reply,,thanked the president and members fbr! itheir appreciative remarks.
