PACIFIC POSSESSIONS
NO BRITISH INTRUSION
LONDON, January 16,
The Lyons radio broadcast yesterday a statement by a French nava] officer, who, on his return from Tahiti, asserts that British forces Have taken possession of that island. Representatives of Free France in London poini out that Tahiti belongs to France. There are no British forces, naval or military, or any British civi] authorities in any of the French possessions in the Pacific.
